Graduating Tools
By definition, a graduation is a marking used to indicate points on a visual scale, which can be read off against a single fiducial (Zero) line. Graduated dials and thimbles can be found all around the workshops of the world, typically to translate the rotation of a lead screw into linear movement.
Nothing spoils a graduating job more than irregular depths and lengths of the "engraved" lines. These Graduating Tools address this problem, allowing the depth to be set on the cross slide and the length of stroke to set by stops.
